Thank you for your interest in FearLess Life Coaching!
As a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience operating a thriving psychotherapy practice in Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts, I specialize in working with adults of all ages who experience symptoms of ADD or ADD-like challenges, such as disorganization, difficulty focusing, decision-making and struggles presented in ADD relationships.
I work with individuals facing life challenges presented by both unexpected and predictable circumstances including divorce, career change, and retirement,
Path to Coaching
I have always used a strength based model in my therapeutic work. Several years ago, after reading literature about the niche of coaching, I developed an interest in learning more.
I discovered that while the therapeutic treatment I provided to my clients helped them to gain a deeper level of self awareness, I was also incorporating coaching-related tools, such as goal setting and organizational skill building. As the field of coaching become more organized, professionally, I decided to pursue education to broaden my expertise.
Unique Qualifications
In my practice, I serve those clients who present issues best addressed through the process of therapy, in a clinical social work capacity. For persons who prefer to engage around the practicalities of achieving their goals, without the lens of psychotherapy, I provide coaching services.
Most coaches are not licensed clinical professionals and may not recognize when a person would benefit from psychotherapy versus coaching. Given my unique qualifications, I provide both the professional credential of a clinician and the affiliated training of a coach with an ADD specialization.
ADD Perspective
I have experienced the strengths and challenges of ADD, professionally and personally. Therapeutically, I’ve helped my clients gain a deeper level of self awareness and acceptance about themselves and how ADD relates to their life. As a coach, I’ve helped clients to be successful in developing personal goals and collaborate on new strategies to achieve success.
I look forward to exploring the possibility of working together and welcome your questions and comments.
Sincerely,
Lois Callahan, LICSW
